View Full Version : Just great...another distraction to driving. Just great...another distraction to driving. '97ventureowner 06-26-2008, 12:40 AM Just when we have enough distractions while driving including but not limited to cell phone use, texting, eating/ kids in the backseat, etc, now we have to worry about those surfing the 'net while driving . They say it's for passenger use, yeah right, it won't be long before the drivers get involved too. I can see it now, D.W.S. ( driving while surfing,) or D.W.P.(driving while porn) Maybe it can be a useful tool as members can diagnose their vehicles' issues on AF while in the car :grinyes: . 72chevelleOhio 06-26-2008, 01:42 AM Great....:disappoin Customer complaints after this comes out.... .....My engine sounds funny, what if I get stranded somewhere? ......My brakes sound bad, I fear for my kids.... Then some fool comes in "When I try to click open eBay it goes to Google, how will I know if I won those shoes?!?!?!" :shakehead BNaylor 06-26-2008, 09:39 AM :shakehead Just another gimmick to sell cars. Chrysler must really be hurting. :loser: I can do without Internet access while I am mobile. Thats where I go to get away from it all and I don't need any more distractions. Bad enough with the crazy drivers on the road. Hungrycat7 06-26-2008, 09:48 AM Before you know it there will be 20 car pile ups everywhere! What a horrible idea! At least those with camera phones can take pictures and upload them and blog about it while they wait for the tow trucks to arrive.:grinyes:. Hungrycat7 06-26-2008, 01:48 PM At least those with camera phones can take pictures and upload them and blog about it while they wait for the tow trucks to arrive.:grinyes:. Exactly. . . . The resulting traffic jam should give the ladies more time to apply their make up and the guys more time to go through the mail. BNaylor 06-26-2008, 06:54 PM As usual nothing is free. If you look closer at the article there will probably be a charge for it and then an annual or monthly subscription fee. It will be just like GM's Onstar program. No one I know ever renewed their subscriptions. Onstar calling! <---:chair:  Hungrycat7 06-26-2008, 10:02 PM I agree. . . I never really got the whole OnStar thing. What can it do that a cell phone can't do? 03cavPA 06-28-2008, 09:35 AM I don't even like talking on my cell while driving. This is just .... WTF? :headshake Hungrycat7 06-28-2008, 11:19 AM We seem to have all the gadgetery down! Now when do we get flying cars? :) Damien 06-28-2008, 12:27 PM 600 to 800 kilobits per second MY WORD!!! I'm not sure I could wait long enough. I'd get to work first. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
