Performance Chip for 2001 Rodeojclick 06-25-2008, 06:15 AM I use my 2001 Rodeo V6 4X4 to tow a 18 foot travel trailer. When I get up on the highway the rodeo struggles to keep up with traffic. Would one of the performance chips work for this? Jetchip.com makes a chip for the Rodeo. It requires the ECU to be sent to them for reprogramming. Anyone have any experience with this? Where is the ECU located? amigo-2k 06-25-2008, 05:34 PM have you tried the power button yet? I was able to post this in IE, but not with FireFox..... jclick 06-25-2008, 05:44 PM Yes. That helps some but need just a little more power. Cat Fuzz 06-26-2008, 01:51 AM Rodeos aren't exactly ideal towing vehicles. I'd be more concerned with how your transmission is doing. As far as the chip thing, I don't think it would really help much. jclick 06-26-2008, 05:34 AM Your correct about a Rodeo not being ideal... I'd much rather have an F-250 to pull the camper but the Rodeo is what I've got. What is the concern with the transmission? Overheating or some other type of stress? I know there are transmission coolers for towing. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
