I hjave a question regarding the interior on my friend's 98 SLK230. Th interior is tan and black. The tan color on the interior console and front dash panels is a soft coating that appears to be a rubberized paint or some similar special coating. It's all wearing off. What is used to repaint or recoat the dash? Is it a special paint? Has anyone else had their dashboard lower front area show this kind of wear.
