Don't know where to start! :) rustysurfsa 06-17-2008, 06:52 AM '97ventureowner 06-17-2008, 02:58 PM First off, I'd get a copy of my credit report along with credit scores possibly from the 3 reporting agencies as they can vary greatly. Make sure all the info is correct on the reports as one small error can really impact your score. It sounds like your doing the right thing and that can be a positive. Are you a member of a credit union? They tend to have better loan offerings than a regular bank and are more flexible on terms and who gets approved. You can fill out a loan application to see how much you can get "pre-approved" for and then have an idea of a budget. Don't forget to factor in such extra costs as taxes, licensing/title fees, and a possible increase in auto insurance premiums depending on how differently the new car is rated compared to your Mustang. adriarac 06-17-2008, 10:41 PM Hi, Just saw your post and thought this information would be very useful for you.If you want to find a good car for a low price the best place to go is LINK REMOVED BY MODERATOR - UNAUTHORIZED ADVERTISING. But if you do take a loan out, a credit union is your best bet. 97ventureowner has offered some good advice. Though I don't think you'll have to worry about your insurance going up if you switch from a Mustang to a Civic. lol In the meantime, check out used car prices (http://www.buyingadvice.com/used-car-prices.html) and see what kind of budget you'll need. I'll warn you that the Civic will cost you, since everyone's buying them these days. You might consider a fairly recent Ford Focus, which also has good reliability/gas mileage, and is much cheaper. Of course, it doesn't have all the appeal of a Civic Si. autofinance 07-29-2008, 09:08 AM If you have financial problem you should start up with the financial arrangement.
