i have a 1996 S 500. there is a problem with the cars hydraulic door,esp the front-driver and passenger door. the hydraulic doesnt work and the door have to be shut with force. i removed the fuse associated and put it back on, then the system works fine for a while; then the problem kicks in again. Can some one help?

Im not a mechanic but ive had alot of these cars. That vacuum system I think closes the doors, locks, trunk, locks gas cap, ect. When my car wouldnt close and lock everything when I turned my key at the drivers door I took it to a friend. If you pull your back seat off in the rear you will see the pump and all the vacuum lines connecting to it. By the way the seat comes right off by pulling a lever under it. Im not sure but my friend said he pumped the system with air and for the past 3 months everything closes and locks perfect.

I have a 95 s420 and that pump went bad. The doors on my car still pull shut. I don’t know if that pump controls them. The pump controls the power door looks and a few other things. I think there are actuators that are involved with the door closing. Do all of your doors have this problem?
