IF you want to take the cheap way out, you can purchase a recharge kit at Walmart or any auto parts retailer. The kit should include a gauge which is not always accurate. Along the firewall you should see two light blue caps with a L and H. You recharge via the L (ow) side. Follow the directions on the package. Remember that you might have a leak in your system so recharging may not help. Also overcharging may kill your system leading to a huge repair bill. If you don't want to risk it then take your truck to a shop. I estimate the a/c service would run about $150. That's all I got.:licka:

You may or may not need refrigerant. If you do need it, you do have a leak. It's not a consumable item. If you never have a leak, you will never need to add more. It would be best to have someone properly trained in A/C repair look at and repair your system.
