why does my air blow out of the defrost and not the vents? it is good and cold but not much help on a 105 degree day here in texas.

vacuum controls under the dash, or the blend door. Do a search for both in this forum and you should find the solution. I'm not the underdash guy, but I've heard this enough times to point you in the right direction. :)
