The front bumper on my Lumina has rusted out real bad around the plastic pins the bumper cover attaches to underneath near the license plate frame. Can anyone shere their experience in replacing the front bumper - or is their a write-up somewhere on the procedure to do this?

Gotta love GM. The bumper is pretty much held on with a ton of tiny self-tapping screws. You have the main bolts that I'm sure you've found, though be sure you replace those metal circlips around the holes. I assume that's what rusted out.

In this order I found it's easiest:
Take off front wheels for simple access (you can do it with the wheels on, but you have to work off feel unless you have tiny hands)
Take out headlights
Start unbolting the sucker
It drops in your lap.

Just be wary, I don't -think- I've seen airbag sensors up there but you never know. Good news is GM is paranoid and freaks out with yellow wire loom for airbag wiring. I noticed Ford does not like to indicate what would cause an "uh oh" if you short wires.

Bumper cover comes off first to access the impact bar.

Thanks for the info guys. I haven't started to do this yet and to be perfectly honest I don't really know where to start or if I should attempt this myself. I fiigured the bumper cover has to come off - from there I dont know what's behind it. It would have to be a do-it-yourself job in the driveway sort of thing which is why I really would like to look over a write-up or step by step for this if there is one out there. Thanks again.
