I have a 97 Monte Z34 w/ the 3.4 L DOHC engine. I have an check engine light that goes on and off .

Whether these two are conected I'm not sure. The car will start up fine cold. After it ihas been run, usually the first start will barely kick over and then die. The second start is much rougher, forcing me to stay on the ignition for a slightly longer period of time. Once it starts up it revs a little high (2000-2500) for maybe 10 seconds.

I'm planning on getting a cheap OBD scanner. But does anyone have any clues or had a similar problem. I have a few ideas but cant really narrow anything down without seeing what code is being thrown
