Could anyone tell me how to remove/replace the starter for a 4 cylinder 94 Cherokee Sport 2WD - it appears to have "star-head" bolts holding it on, but my Haynes manual just shows how to do it for a straight six, which doesn't help at all since they're totally different. Thank you very much.

I dont know about the "star bolts", but the last time I worked on one with the 2.5 liter, both starter bolts were removed from directly under the bellhousing, instead of from in front of it like the 6 cylinder. Also, both bolts had standard type heads and not star heads.

Star heads ? Just use a 12 point metric socket and not a 6 pt..
