2002 intrepid key lock cylinder

i have a 2002 intrepid the igition lock cylinder won't go to the lock postion or turn to the acc my question is there any fix for this. and if go to the local junkyard get a used igition lock have it repined so my key will fit it will it read the chip key theis chip key system is new to me not sure how it works lol thanks in advance

got it fixed thank had to adjust the cable that runs from the shifter thanks
