front 4 door seats vs. 2 door seatsdeesandvees 05-27-2008, 08:29 PM I found a nice set of Brougham seats but before I buy them I need to find something out... Is there a big difference between the 4 door front seats and the 2 door? I know obviously the 2 door seats fold forward for back seat riders access but is it easy or maybe impossible to alter a 4 door seat so that it will fold forward like that? BOX88 06-01-2008, 12:29 AM It can be done, But probably cheaper to just get your seats redone exactly like the Brougham seats.. I have seen it done on 96 impala ss seats anyways. silicon212 06-01-2008, 02:08 AM The difference is the fact that the seat backs collapse down on the 2-dr models to allow access to the back seat area. deesandvees 07-25-2008, 11:56 AM A guy I talked to at a car show with an '86 Landau got his seats out of a Brougham. He said he just took out this certain bolt (he pushed the seat forward and showed me it, on the left side where the back meets the seat kinda). Removal of the bolt allows the seat to recline forward. I guess that wouldn't be "recline" but you know what I mean. The problem I'm wondering about though is it also looked like the seat was reclined a lot. Which is how this guy likes to sit in the car but maybe removing that bolt also sacrifices seatback position as a whole? EngineandJuice 07-27-2008, 12:15 AM Maybe but my seat reclines alot but that's just cuz i'm a fat bastard and I push back on my seat when reaching for my wallet. I have to get in the backseat and push forward on the back of the drivers seat to get it back to teh normal position which usually only last 1 or 2 rides then i feel like i'm in the backseat again. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
