97 1500 vortec v6

Yes I have a 97 1500pu truck and and let someone barrow it and they constantly hit the shut off at 95 mph and now it doesn't want to stay in gear and no matter what gear it is in even in park it acts like it is in gear... I have disconnected the PCM and still no help.. any ideas..

So the truck moves forward in pk or neutral, how about reverse. How does it run with the pcm disconnected, which will not affect what you describe anyway.

will not back up in reverse tries to go forward.. when driving it will go for a minute then act like it is in nuetral, so you rev it up it will go then back like it is in nuetral...have not tried disconnected...
