1992 300ZX ( non turbo )

The only item on the cluster that does not work is the speedometer. Just quit one day.
Any suggestions on what to test. What is a common problem???? This will give me an idea on what to start testing.

Usually it's the connection to the speed sensor, as the wiring from the gear unit is out in the weather under the car and can rot through if exposed.

i hope mine doesnt crap out. but it does seem to be off. like maybe 5-10 mph over. when i drive it doesnt seem like im going as fast as it says. i dunno. is there any way to check if its accurate? :runaround:
