Dash Lights / Parking Lights don't workgahris 05-18-2008, 11:12 PM I have a 1995 Monte (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/#) Carlo((limilar to the lumina)) LS with the 3.1L. Problem: My Dash Lights, HVAC Lights, Shifter Lights, and Parking Lights will not turn on using the switch or automatically. Twist: They will turn on when using the remote starter untill I depress the brake pedal, so it doesnt look like a wiring or fuse problem Is this a problem with the switch or some wort of relay? I changed all the ((mini blade)) fuses this week as well including the underhood ones. Any ideas or sujestions will help As a side note, my cruise control stopped working 4 months ago gahris 05-19-2008, 10:56 PM Would the switch need changing or is there a relay that i dont know of? The decal on the underhood dash is worn blank, is there a way to see what one would look like? lyp48322 05-22-2008, 11:39 PM I have 1996 Lumina. I have exactly same problem as you have. My tailights, parking lights in the front and dashboard lights including around heateing control and radio are not turning on when the headlight switch is turned on (both park and light). The bulbs are ok. The break lights do work. I have also found several similar problem on the internet. One of the site suggested replacing Headlight switch. I have ordered a switch from Autozon (70.99 plus tax and shipping at around $82), but it did not fix the problem! It appears all the fuses are OK, but it has so many fuses and do not know exactly which one in particular should be checked. If you get any info, please share with me. DIE MONTE DIE.:loser: dont take to heart, rather have a lumina richtazz 05-23-2008, 04:44 PM You both need a turn signal/multifunction switch. All power to the running lights, brake lights, etc... is routed through it, and it's a very common issue on these cars. There are two different ones, one for cars with the accessory control buttons on the steering wheel, and one for cars without. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
