1978 RamchargerSpamyore 05-18-2008, 06:35 PM Anyone know how many volts are supposed to be going into the ignition coil? and what does it mean if youre only getting 5?:eek7: Mopower79 05-21-2008, 11:12 AM At start up (cranking) you should have 12 volts to coil.. Running should be around 9 volts.. You my have a faulty ballast resistor or ECU.. Or even a loose or dirty connection & or ground.. Heres a Link to fix your problem.. once & for all.. (eliminates both ECU & Ballast Resistor) & is VERY cost effective.. Link: http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203358 It works great & will only cost you $30.00 / $35.00 Max.. Good luck!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
