will a 98 jimmy motor fit in a 95?

The motor is different because I went to a wrecker yesterday to get an egr for my 4.3l vortec and looked at a 98. When I looked under the hood the motor was different but was still pretty new. The body of the vehicle was totalled but the motor was in very good shape and he offered to sell it for a couple hundred bucks. Just wondering if it will fit in my older model jimmy sle.

The engine will physically fit in the '95 however, 95 was a change over year from OBDI to OBDII. Some of the sensors, underhood and under dash wire harness and the ECM are totally different, and not interchangable.
