This 1 is fun, came in on the hook from a rookie mechanic. So here's the low down. Car was in for something ( I can't recall but not major), he did the repair and test drove the car, ran strong, and the trans lines started leaking. Pulls the rad to swap out trans lines, car wont fire. Comes to me 6 weeks later and drop the scanner ( mt2500) on it, shows nothing, gives 1 kick every so often. pop on the noid light and it gives 1 pulse every now and again, totaly random. I head right for the pass key. Drop in a resistor and still no go??????? This kid must have spent a million on parts, he even put a new ecm in it. Inj harness is good, cam sens good, coil pack(s), he also put another 1 on it and both are good. Has anyone seen a the pass module only screw with the inj pulse? Do you think i amheading down the right path? Gimme your thoughts after reading this. I am all ears. I hate getting basket cases dragged in, you never know exactly what has been done.

Make sure one injector is not bad pulling down the rest.

I was almost there, I did unplug the front 3, but I suppose I should do the rest.

When you say the scanner shows nothing do you mean no communication or no obvious problems or codes? Is the scanner showing rpm's while cranking? What is the tps voltage? Make sure you have power to the injectors with the key on. Check the ground wires on the transmission stud at the front of the engine. Check all the fuses. Unpluging one injector should be enough. Another trick to check injectors is unplug the alternator and turn on the headlights and see if it fires. Sounds stupid but it really works. I believe the pass key only affects the fuel pump. I'm betting he broke a ground wire when he pulled the radiator.

The ground wire at the trans stud was the first thing I thought of, all seems well but my dive in a little farther just in case it was farther back in the harness. As for all the rest of your thoughts, yes, yes, & yes. Except the alt 1 :eek7:, but I will, uh, look into it.
