96 New Yorker No Startchuck240z 05-12-2008, 11:04 PM I've read these forums for a few weeks now, but my car acts a little different. I have a 96 new yorker 3.5 engine. I just bought it and its acting up. When i was driving it recently it would stall on me while driving, i would put it in neutral and fire it back up. It did this at all speeds, about 10 times in 7 miles, even when coasting to a stop. It sat for a week, i went to start it up again and it wouldnt start at all. Fuel pump sounds like it works (turn key and hear it), i pushed the fuel line bleeder valve and canked it and the fuel sprayed out. Crank sensor, cam sensor, EGR valve? I cant get it running to take it to have it put on a scanner, or can you do that when it doesnt run (i have replaced the battery, so there is probally no memory to scan) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck chuck240z 07-29-2008, 02:45 PM ok, i give up. I replaced the crank sensor, cam sensor, and the ignition switch. I'm scrapping the car. So...if anyone wants needs the sensors or switch, 25$ a piece, still brand new. clawson@esab.com Thanks, Chuck vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
