93 Lumina 3.1 cranks, no start, no spark

I already solved my problem, but hopefully this helps someone else. My 93 Lumina died in my driveway. Oddly, it worked fine when I parked it the night before. Next morning, plenty of crank, but nothing else. I smelled gas and heard the fuel pump. Tested the plug wires with a screwdriver to see if I got spark, and sure enough there was no spark. I was not getting any codes, so that did not help. First, I checked the wires from the crank shaft to the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and that was fine. So I went ahead and pulled the ICM and found a used one for $5. Although there are only 6 small bolts holding my ICM on, it was a little tricky getting them off. Total time spent was about 3 hours, plus the 1 hour to pull the used one. Put it in and she fired right up.  I did notice that on some of the newer Luminas at the car yard that they now put the ICM on top of the block instead of below.

So here is one question -- had that crank sensor been bad, how in the (@&! would I have gotten up there to remove it? 8" Needle nose plyers? It is up there between the tranny and the oil pan, and my fingertips could barely touch it.
