Climate Control Puzzle

Hi all,
It's been a few years since I've posted having got rid of my '93 "big comfy couch" LeSabre but the in-law has a 02. So, he sets the climate control to a temp that gets the A/C to come on. My mom in law feels the cooling alright but my pop in law is getting heating. I've read a few threads that that talk about checking vacuum lines and the actuator. Well, yesterday we tries to look at what we believed to be vacuum lines but couldn't tell if there was a problem. The real challenge we found was trying to get to the actuator. Any help with dismantling to get to it would be most appreciated.
