Do Dodge Caravan's have PCV valves?rhino1616 05-05-2008, 06:59 PM My elderly father took his car to a mechanic & he told him he has to have his PVC valve changed. I told him I'd do it for him & I went around to a few places looking for the PCV valve for his 2006 Dodge caravan. 3 places already told me they dont have one listed for the vehicle. Im very confused I though all vechiles had PCV valves? does this car have one? if it doesnt, what am I supposed to replace? Thank you Scotty89 05-05-2008, 08:52 PM I dont know if this will help, but heres a diagram of the PCV valve i found for the 3.3 and the 3.8 liter motor. I got it from shopkey. sorry for the size of the picture!!!!!!! http://www.shopkey5.com/mric/common/asp/Graphic.aspx?MOD=REPTIFF&MODULE_ID=1&SESSION_ID=%7b7E74A396-2ABA-4090-90A5-A78C1E601807%7d&IMAGE_GUID=C0001491&PRINT_BW=0& tempfixit 05-05-2008, 09:09 PM According to the ONLINE SERVICE MANUAL in this forum, the PCV is located on the valve cover closest to the radiator. Bear 05-06-2008, 12:09 PM On my '96 3.3 it plugs in just to the left of the throttle body. vipergg 05-06-2008, 07:58 PM I would question the dealers honesty unless he is having a problem , the van is only 2 years old . Unless he has put on like 60000 miles in 2 years I doubt it needs to be replaced yet . I think it is screwed into the valve cover on the back side of the engine which is difficult to get at so the dealer would probably charge him at least a half hours labor about $45 just for labor , and overcharge him for a pcv valve . vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
