View Full Version : Gauge Cluster and Check Engine Light? Gauge Cluster and Check Engine Light? Rantar73 05-04-2008, 09:17 PM I have a 2000 Altima GLE / ATX. 60K miles. The gauge cluster briefly stopped working today while I was driving....for about 5 minutes....then it started working again. A few minutes later, the check engine light came on. I just got back from a 400 mile trip, and nothing unusual happened at all....so this kinda makes me a bit concerned. Other than pulling the codes at Autozone (tomorrow), has anyone had or heard of this problem? Thanks for any advice or info!! Rantar73 05-05-2008, 11:48 PM I went to Autozone today, and the code read that there was basically an intermittent electrical error to the VSS (vehicle speed sensor). I unplugged the harness from the VSS (on the tranny), cleaned off the terminals and reconnected the harness, disconnected the battery for a few minutes (to reset the ECU), and it is now all good. :bigthumb: Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
