2000 LS v6-Stereo Speaker Interference

I'm an original owner (6 window regulators, 2 coils, fuel pump-so far) but over 8 years have been driven mad by a frequent stereo-engine interference that comes (and goes) from the right rear speaker. The groaning-interference sound increases in pitch with the higher rev of the engine. It can be stopped-temporarily, by pounding the back deck next to the speaker. Wiring was replaced twice (while under warranty) but problem never solved. I'm thinking this is a ground or short? or a bad speaker? Appreciate any advice...

Welcome to the forum!
It sounds like a grounding issue either at the amplifier for the rear speakers, or internal to the amp (bad solder joint). Which audio system do you have in the car? Since there were multiple grades, I'm not sure they all had amps in the same locations. Have you taken a look under the trim piece of the rear deck for amplifiers in that area?

Thansk Rod-it's the Alpine (Sport Package?) system. I'll give the amp a look.
Appreciate the advice.
