Broke Key in tumbler240SX_89 05-01-2008, 12:26 AM I tried turning on the car and the key broke in the ignition. about 1/4 of the key broke in the igniton and then my brother tried putting the key in there and before I could tell him not to he shoved the key in. Now the small piece is all the way in there. I was wondering what would be the easiest way to remove the broken piece. Its a 95 Impreza. Would crossing the wires work to turn it on the red and green then yellow and blue. thanks freakray 05-03-2008, 10:29 AM Pay a locksmith to fix the problem correctly. Do not hotwire the car, it's not as easy as crossing all the wires and it can damage the ignition system. 240SX_89 05-04-2008, 10:31 AM Well we decided to go with a new ignition swithch. We got all the plastic pieces off and we cant seem to figure out how to remove it.
