What do the following codes mean and would they keep my truck from starting? And how do I clear them?

P0102
P0103

Depending on engine and what size Suburban.
They may pertain to a mass air flow sensor or wiring or fuse or vcm or wiring problem.

To clear code you will need a scan tool.

I would clear codes and see if they come back?

Is the sensor pluged in good?
Have you ran the engine with the air intake hose off or sensor unpluged or does it have a K&N filter or cold air intake stuff?
Is the engine running good?

First of check fuse and check wiring and air intake hose and try cleaning MAF sensor.
If code returns after that.
To repair for or check the code problem out you are going to need a good engine capable scanner and a repair flow chart for the code/codes.

hi, ok it's a 99 Suburban C2500 with a 7.4 engine and almost 171,000 miles.
yes the sensor is pluged in tight I had unpluged it yesterday trying to start it, but I pluged it right back it when it didn't start. It does have a K&N & has had for 3 years, it does run good, and I've checked all fuses. How do I clear the codes?
if you could read my post I did yesterday concerning a no start, maybe it might shed more light on the subject.
I did get it started today, but it ran super rough for about 5 min or so. also, I didn't think it had anything to do with the no start, but it had just rained cats and dogs 2 full days prior.

If a sensor is unpluged it will set a code.
You need to clear codes with a scanner.

K&N filters over oiled and MAF sensors do not get along together very Good.
Also clean sensor with MAF sensor cleaner.
Post back any codes that return.
