My oil cooler was deleted when the previous owner replaced the motor ,what is required to get this working again ? the cooler is still on the front of the car but dont think anything else is !I have the dohc 3.4 with 10.000 miles on it, will adding this make a difference in performance ??

no its a brand new 3.4 dohc

I just viewed the replacement on partstrain.com and it seems there is a lot to it. not something I would tackle myself. as for performance, not sure if it would make a diff or not. maybe one of the pros here can answer that part.
I do know it goes in the front to the right of the oil filter, they had to remove mine when I got my new starter put in. Its a really tight spot to do anything. actually, its tight everywhere under the hood of these z34's...
