My truck is doing something like a "shutter" when I go up a hill. I have changed the rotar button, spark plugs and wires, and distributor cap. And if I change the oil it seems to get better. I also checked the rocker arms and torque converter bolts. It ONLY does it when I go up a hill. No one that I have talked to seems to know whats going on....any ideas?

I had EXACT same problem, and I mean EXACT. Same error code, same shuddering when going uphill. We even have the same year - I have 98 Sily K1500 5.7 gas.

I tried new dist cap. No good.

I tried new plugs. No good.

I tried fuel inj cleaner. No good.

I tried new fuel filter. No good.

Finally, local shop (a guy I trust) said it was probably the fuel pump. Soooooooooooooo, we put in a new fuel pump and it was FIXED!

However, he used aftermarket pump, which did not last long. Switched to OEM pump and now all is good..............

Good luck
