Man, wish I could get mine done that quick and look that gorgeous. That paint work looks flawless. joelwideqvist 04-22-2008, 02:31 AM I agree, the level of quality is REALLY high concidering the amount of time that went in to it. I would have guessed at least 50+ hours. Great work! /Joel sportracer02 04-24-2008, 01:18 AM I agree, the level of quality is REALLY high concidering the amount of time that went in to it. Great work! /Joel Hi, I agree with Joel, it looks great jmwallac 04-24-2008, 09:09 PM http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg129/colbro1973/frontwheelcloseup.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg129/colbro1973/topside.jpg Great work! What did you do for the chrome section of the shock? Did you have any fitment issues with the bodywork directly behind the seat? Mine isn't fitting as tight as yours. colbro1973 04-25-2008, 03:03 AM I used thin self adhesive chrome film for shocks, it joins around back behind front fender so totally invisible. I had no issues with rear bodywork, maybe if tail exhaust is slightly misaligned this may cause problems, but I had no issues. Maybe you got a slightly warped kit. Thanks everyone for your kind comments, much appreciated. Col slk320 04-25-2008, 10:25 AM very nice work! andybmw7272 04-28-2008, 12:36 PM Nice use of washes. Very subtle. Col What brand of film did you use? colbro1973 04-28-2008, 03:57 PM No idea! we have stacks of it at work it comes in Huge sheets, I can post you some if you want, sometimes I use a yellow magic marker over it to create gold. it is fairly limited in use but I think is ideal for these small fork bits. unless you prefer to buy the detail up forks. Cheers Col jmwallac 04-28-2008, 09:42 PM we have stacks of it at work it comes in Huge sheets, I can post you some if you want, sometimes I use a yellow magic marker over it to create gold. Yes, please post pics! ketje 04-30-2008, 07:00 AM Thanx Col, by the way the model is looking great. How did you manage to do this in a week and a half? My models always have to dry for about a week and a half. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
