Hi guys, i'm looking for a compressor and all confused about the CFM. i've done a search for all compressor related threads and after analizing all the information i reached the following conclusion:

for most compressors that you guys have the CFM is 0,64. is any trouble if i use a compressor with CFM = 2,16??? my airbrush instruction sheet does not say anithing about air flow, just pression, wich is 2 bar or 29 psi.

Could any of you guys help me????

Thanks

Cheers

So long as you have a pressure regulator and moisture trap in the air line between the tank outlet and the airbrush you shouldn't have a problem.

CFM obviously dictates how much air the compressor can move, on a tank type compressor this is how quickly it can replenish the tank.
Since you are talking about such a high flow rate, I would imagine you are referring to a tank type compressor?

The pressure regulator will help you maintain the pressure at the airbrush.

It may be more important to know the PSI under load(When spraying)versus static(not spraying) Look for something that will give at least 25PSI while spraying.
