96 Voyagerkrumrei 04-16-2008, 06:21 PM Tranny was rebuilt and now about 50,000 miles later it is whining really bad and 3rd gear driving does not hardly engage unless at 60 miles per hour. Will a filter change help or is this thing toasted? tempfixit 04-17-2008, 02:11 AM 3 speed or 4 speed (PRND3L) krumrei 04-17-2008, 08:39 AM 3 Speed PRND21 tempfixit 04-17-2008, 09:22 AM 3 Speed PRND21 I would drop the pan and change filter and fluid, by doing this you will see if there is any excessive metal filling on the magnet or bottom of pan. From what I have read on these tranny's it appears the govenior for one is sticking usually from part or parts internally failing with the particals causing the govenor to operate improperly. The whining I do not know, maybe Kmanic can elaborate. Hope this helps krumrei 04-17-2008, 03:43 PM I would drop the pan and change filter and fluid, by doing this you will see if there is any excessive metal filling on the magnet or bottom of pan. I am thinking it is clogged, it has been over 75-80 miles since I last changed it. Paul vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
