Ferrari 360 spider Novitec Tuning (by Scaleproduction)sportracer02 04-16-2008, 12:05 PM Hi, some time ago I got the new Scaleproduction Ferrari 360 Novitec transkit, made for the Tamiya Ferrari 360. the package: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/400_3131363235613031.jpg its content: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/400_6439363230306630.jpg Resin parts come in very good quality, no bubbles or flash, the kit provides a new front skirt, a new lower part for the rear skirt and a plain aerodynamic piece, rear wing and 2 aero-parts for the side-skirts http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3939363965366561.jpg Etched parts are for grills in all openings, brake discs, pedals, sides of the wing and brake light http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3461343864363037.jpg Tamiya Ferrari Enzo wheels (the wheels for the rear must be shortened a little bit, they are not so wide on this car as on the Enzo) http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3839656235306665.jpg and you get some fabric for the seat belts I decided to make the 360 spider in Novitec-look. First step was to cut away the front skirt and fit in the transkit part. http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3431643166333737.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6564643161366636.jpg Due to finishing the Schnitzer BMW Z3 I did much on the kit, but now IŽll continue it MidMazar 04-16-2008, 10:19 PM Sweet, first one on here? This one will come out great, and can't wait to see it done. It seems like scale production resin is very clean, with no flash. Awesome company, i wish they would rerelease some of their earlier products. I hate how expensive it is over here in the states. They have so much i want. Anyway good luck, what color is it going to be? Put lips on the wheels if possible, would look killer. rockinanko 04-17-2008, 12:13 AM What!? Novi spidey?? gee, i've already started one with basic styrene... shouldn't have waste my time if i know this was coming! anyway, check for references in the web, the novi coupe & spyder have totally different bodywork...achtung! http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z217/sbc3133r/no1.jpg sigh...:banghead: marc SGP druid_99 04-17-2008, 02:01 AM Never seen this transkit before. When was it produced? Good luck on your builds. rockinanko 04-17-2008, 02:24 AM here's whatz the diff between the 2 novis... http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z217/sbc3133r/novi2.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z217/sbc3133r/novi1.jpg yeah, good luck too Micha!!:) marc SGP klutz_100 04-17-2008, 06:33 AM Nice  Looking forward to seeing this progress. sportracer02 04-17-2008, 02:48 PM Hi, thanks for the comments !! @ rockinanko: Looking at the Novitec website I cannot read, that there is one version of their tuning kit for the coupe and one for the spider. I guess, these are 2 variants of tuning parts. Here in Germany there is a dealer who sells the car exacty as I build it http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/6331396163666465.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3132383632646162.jpg rsxse240 04-17-2008, 07:54 PM That is one SEXY 360! I was half regretting getting rid of mine. Now I really do! lol, just kidding Brandon (if you ever see this). I think I may have to get another one soon. quadzero 04-18-2008, 04:48 PM Very interesting project. You bring alot of insight to those of us that never get to see kits or transkits such as these. I can already see that fantastic paintjob thats so typical of you, Micha. tonioseven 04-18-2008, 07:59 PM This is going to be cool!!:sunglasse sportracer02 06-01-2008, 12:57 PM Hi, little update, body colour is on http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3137663734336262.jpg voyageur 06-01-2008, 01:29 PM Hi Micha, body parts look spectacular. Smooth surface, did you polish yet? I'm looking forward to the next steps and the finished model. rockinanko 06-01-2008, 02:43 PM http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3132383632646162.jpg Hi micha, welcome back! good shine on the modena, let's see what you can do to those smoked rear section. i ever tried drilling out those tiny holes but i just can't get them aligned straight! tis is the main reason i've given up on this conversion & change to a spyder challenge stradale instead. let's see how you gonna tackle this mod bro! cheers! marc SGP klutz_100 06-01-2008, 02:52 PM Sluuuuurp :) I like the color very much  I am also interested to see what you come up with for the rear panel sportracer02 06-03-2008, 01:30 AM Thanks for the comments. The basis-colour still needs clear and polishing. Concerning the rear panel: If you look closer to the photos of the 1:1 car, you can see, that the rear panel is rather thin. Making it on a model, a p/e-part would be the only working material, bringing some more questions concerning the holes for the lamps. So, I don´t intend to make the rear panel a model of its own ;-)) - I´ll cover it with carbon decals. georges99 06-03-2008, 09:10 AM This is very interesting ! Is it an expensive kit, and where can we get this kit ? Keep up the nice work, I will follow this one for shure. George voyageur 06-03-2008, 10:41 AM Is it an expensive kit, and where can we get this kit ? It is available from automobilminiaturen.de (http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/product_info.php?info=p1292_F360-N-Tec-Rosso.html) and costs EUR 39,- (excl. shipping). Looking at the pictures sportracer02 posted I would say it is not expensive and well worth the money. Cheers 924_CarreraGTS 06-03-2008, 11:29 AM As far as I know, the Novitec, being tuned, has visibly different air cleaner housings, with carbon finish. This may be untrue for your car, but it's what I've seen before. Good luck! Alex sportracer02 06-03-2008, 03:47 PM As far as I know, the Novitec, being tuned, has visibly different air cleaner housings, with carbon finish. Alex Hi Alex, thanks for the remark, but what exactly do you propose to me?? 924_CarreraGTS 06-03-2008, 05:15 PM I was just wondering if you were going to model the air cleaner housings differently because of the Novitec mods. Pictures are hard to find but the housings (pretty much the most prominent part of the engine bay) are definitely shaped differently. They don't look too easy to scratchbuild, but I'm sure you can figure out a way if you choose to do them. Alex SkylineFan 06-04-2008, 11:54 PM Very tasty Micha!!
