Instructions on how to replace wheel bearing in 2003 Chevy Venture

We own a 2003 Chevy Venture and the front wheel bearing is gone. I am wondering if anyone has ever replaced one of these and if so could I get some instructions. My mechanic wants to charge me $450 and I can get the part for $85 so I would like to do it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. By the way it is 2wd, with ABS.

First, Loosen hub nut prior to lifting vehicle.
I also, loosen lug nuts.
Lift vehicle, remove tire
You have to remove the Brake Caliper, rotor, and maybe the
caliper mount bracket.
Separate tie rod end.
there are 3 bolts on the back that hold the hub in.
Remove these, then go to the hardware store and buy
same size inch longer. Put new bolts in, but not tightened down.
Disconnect ABS.
Remove hub nut.
Drive hub out by hammering on the replacement bolts.
Should take no more then a couple hours.

Might want to think about getting a little better quality bearing than the $85 one. Autozone has a Timken brand for ~$150, that is what I put in....the second time around.

Also be aware that the ABS sending units are part of the bearing assembly. I got a replacement from Napa but the sending unit wasn't a perfect match. ABS light came on all the time until I put a 2nd replacement bearing in. Even though I could measure the wheel pulses coming from the 1st new bearing and it had same voltage/resistance as the 2nd replacement, it wouldn't work. Napa told me that happens once in a while.

Thought that might save someone some grief to know.:screwy:
