WIP: Ferrari Daytona 365tigeraid 04-13-2008, 07:05 PM For the Scale Plastic Cars Forum Daytona Contest... Decided to go with a unique colour for Ferrari--it's a GM dark metallic green. I think it turned out pretty good. Now I can move on to the rest of the build. http://www.tigersdenhobbies.com/gallery/tigeraid%20daytona/tigeraid_daytona_wip1.jpg http://www.tigersdenhobbies.com/gallery/tigeraid%20daytona/tigeraid_daytona_wip2.jpg rsxse240 04-13-2008, 07:59 PM Looks great, John. I bet it would just POP if you used some polishing compound, and wax. tigeraid 04-13-2008, 10:01 PM I've already used both lol... It's just my poor photography skills. It's pretty shiny in person. :p druid_99 04-15-2008, 11:44 PM Tigeraid, is this the modelkit from Airfix? I have the same model kit and the problem with this is that the front and rear is molded in separate pieces and needs very careful planning to make sure that the gaps are minimised before it can be puttied to eliminate it. Mine is back in the box because of this problem. Good luck to you and I'm following this build. tigeraid 04-16-2008, 09:12 AM Nope, Revell of Germany sir. There's a slight gap I need to press together for the rear fascia, that I didn't notice until after I took the pics--but it'll look fine. tigeraid 04-30-2008, 08:49 PM Sorry for the poor pic... Still figuring out this new camera. Green looks nice in person though... Foil done. http://www.tigersdenhobbies.com/gallery/tigeraid%20daytona/tigeraid_daytona_wip3.jpg stryfe101 05-01-2008, 12:02 AM Looking good John, I think with this, and Tervo's build i'll have to get back to mine... Great color though, and the paint job itself looks well done. Gray Tervo 05-01-2008, 03:33 AM Your foiling is much better than mine! The color choice is not so traditional, but painting looks fine. tigeraid 05-01-2008, 06:46 AM the paint looks even better in person, I just can't seem to get a properly lit picture... :( mrawl 05-04-2008, 02:26 AM It looks very classy, hopefully you'll find a way to capture the look, I'm sure it must be brilliant in person. druid_99 05-04-2008, 10:33 PM Progress looks good... I'm following this thread. By the way, any shot of the front? MidMazar 05-04-2008, 11:20 PM Take some outdoor shots in the sun, no flash. Looks sweet, bmf came out great. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
