Anyone know how difficult it is to replace a CV joint in a 95 aspire.
Thanks in advance.

It is easier to replace the whole axle than replace the cv joint.

It's fairly difficult. You have to take the wheel bearing nut loose. It's torqued to about 140 lb./ft. Take the lower ball joint off. Push the hub off the drive axle and with a prybar pry the CV joint out of the tranny being careful not to damage the oil seal. If you have any doubts about it I would have it done. If you start the job and get stuck and have to take it to a mechanic it will be VERY EXPENSIVE.

Auto Zone or Advanced Auto have a tool loaner program. O'Riley's is starting this also.
You will need jack stands and a floor jack also.
