Matt Monett & Dynamic Racing- 3/S'S ARE IN THE 8'S BABY!!!

It's been done! Matt Monett of Dynamic Racing has finally gotten what we've all been waiting for, and not only did he just break into the 8s, he CRUSHED the existing record with an 8.81@166mph!! He also got a backup run of 8.88@165mph. All I can say is WOW!

We all just got finished up at the track and got a bite to eat, I will be working on the vids and Matt I'm sure will be on in a couple hours once he makes the drive back to Alamogordo. There is a hell of a story to go along with all the runs, but it was well worth the effort tonight. Congrats buddy, glad you and Bob got the number!

Bigger turbos, more boost, and a Kazz rear LSD.

the 9.05@157.9 last yr was at 24psi.

Does anyone know if he was running an LSD before? The turbo's are DR-1300's, boosted to 31psi.

Matt's engine is a 3.0 with a custom crank and rods. It is NOT the Montero 3.5

Matt's 3.5 will crush a Montero 3.5 in power department because of the stroke.

It has a bigger bore, but a longer stroke.

Think of it like a 347 stroker. The 347 started life as a 302.

The 383 strokers start like as a 350.

Matt's started life as a 3.0 The Montero 3.5 is a completely different set up
