Got the wife a kick-butt car for oncecurtis73 04-04-2008, 06:17 AM My wife is a wonderful woman. 5 years ago we decided she could spend up to 10k on a car in our budget. What does she pick? A $4000 Tercel. She loved that car for 5 years, and her reason for picking a cheap car?... so her husband could have more money for his projects. That is a loving wife if I ever did see. So recently she totalled her Tercel when she hit a tire on the freeway, lost control, and slammed head first into a cement wall. I got a call from the Highway Patrol that my wife was in an accident that closed down the freeway. How's that for a mind altering experience. The good news is that she escaped with a bloody nose from her face hitting the airbag, and her passenger escaped with a severely bruised hand, but the car gave its life to save my lover: http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/curtis73/Photo_03-1.jpg So, what does a good husband do? He buys her a beautiful tank. I figured after years of her putting up with all of our money getting dumped into my foolish projects, the least she deserved was an absolute top-notch vehicle. I spent three days heavily researching and then I found it; a 1999 Mercedes E300 TD. It was a one-owner car and the Carfax report showed a few dozen entries that just said "Mercedes dealer; scheduled maintenance." It was in Phoenix, so I flew out, bought it, and drove it home. Here are pictures of my first selfless auto purchase :) http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/curtis73/kimsmercedes.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/curtis73/kimsmercedes4.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/curtis73/kimsmercedes10.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/curtis73/kimsmercedes14.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/curtis73/kimsmercedes24.jpg Polygon 04-04-2008, 01:52 PM Woah! Glad to hear she's alright. Very big step up too, nice! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
