What Service Do I REALLY Need After 1 Year?accord_owner_2008 04-02-2008, 03:32 PM My dealer tried to sell me on $250 worth of work recently and I was wondering (suspecting) if it is a rip-off. I have a 2007 Accord V6 with 10,220 miles on it. Purchased February 2007. My driving is (roughly): 35% freeway at 70-80 MPH 35% freeway at 10-15 MPH stop and go :banghead: 30% city I try to let it warm up when possible and do not do jackrabbit starts. Usually under 3000 RPM but sometimes you have to hit it. If there is a good non-scam maintenance guide out there I'd appreciate a link. Sorry for NOOBish questions. I can help with computers or home theater. :) ProMan 04-03-2008, 10:06 AM Your owner's manual should have maintenance schedule. Follow that is good enough. Don't let the dealer tell you what to do, it normally has high margin items which they need, but your car doesn't. Tel them what you would like them to do. accord_owner_2008 04-03-2008, 10:37 AM Agh! I forgot all about the maintenance guide. It's been a long time since buying a new car. Thanks for the help. Greenblurr93 04-03-2008, 11:17 AM Do whatever the owners manual says, it was made by Honda engineers that dont get any money from the dealer doing service. So they have nothing to gain to by putting things in that you dont need vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
