i just replaced the resistor on my heater fan,due to losing first couple speeds,99 ranger.that fixed it.but now i have static on am stations and engine does not even need to be running.ignition when it is in the ready position is enough to make it static-no static on accessory.i know the heater fan is the culprit because when i pull the fuse, the static stops.BUT i noticed the 8 inch grounding strap NEAR the blower is off--not a wire but the interwoven strap with a push on clip on each end.this could be the culprit i feel, but where does it go,from the fender to where or where?i am getting to the point where i am going to wave down any passing ranger to ask to look at their engine compartment.
