Speedo Jump When Cruise is Set ('93 C2500)

Hi -
On my '93 C2500, the speedometer jumps when I activate the cruise control. IE: at 65, set the cruise speedo will jump to 72, then settle back in at 65. The cruise control maintain speed properly.

Any idea why this might be happening?
