93 3VZ-FE motor/tranny mountssepticdeath 03-27-2008, 05:06 PM I just replaced the dog bone and the front motor mount. I have the transmission and the rear mounts already in my possession. Of course, I don't have a lift, so I am looking while rolling on a creeper under the car. I didn't have enough room to get "behind" the frame crossmember to look forward at the rear motor mount, but from the front and underneath the motor, it looks like a REAL bitc*, It almost looks like you have to take a axle out to get at the bolts. Am I missing something due to not getting a clean view at it. I can understand that I might, from removing the other two, I found out that not all the bolts need to be undone, but it makes it easier (i.e.: dogbone). I'm a big guy, 6'2" and 270 lbs, my hands DONT fit very well inside a lot of these areas, hell it looks like I'm going to have to remove the intake plenum to just get to the 3 rear plugs. (More questions when I do this, saving it for when I have time to do the valve cover gaskets since part of the work is the same). Is this worth just taking to the local shop and paying the 1 hour shop rate? Is this last mount a 1,2,3 hour job? Any pointers. I sure wish I could get the car up higher, but I bet everyone wishes they had a pit or lift... :) Thanks guys Brian R. 03-27-2008, 10:31 PM Think about ramps vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
