Hey, so i read somewhere that new spark plugs would increase my mpg and horse power. what kind of spark plugs do i get? which work the best? and what else can i do to improve my gas mileage?

thanks for any advice you can give me:)

id recommend NGK Iridiums. i use em and never had a prob. u can also use E3 spark plugs but i dont like them too much.

keep in mind tho, u wont notice that much of a gain in power or mileage. maybe a few miles more per tank but thats about it.

Stock plugs are regular NGKs so I would use replacement NGKs either the same type or higher. I just changed mine to the Iridiums. I don't think you'll notice much improvement. Even NGK states the power difference to be less than 1% in the worst case situations. Watch out for snake oil plugs that tell you about 10% improvements and such. It's simply not true.

Yep the others are right, I've yet to find a spark plug that will increase power and fuel economy by any significance. Definetly change them every 60,000 miles or so to keep your engine running good!
