Left side boxed and first layer of filler http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati010.jpg Right side barley started http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati011.jpg Right side being boxed in http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati019.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati020.jpg Slight problem with the frame the micro sol attack the filler. not to bad some small holes but not that noticeable and not worth striping the carbon and heat proofing off. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati041.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati044.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati071.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati072.jpg Ole_L 03-24-2008, 09:13 AM That sounds like an awesome project... looking forward to seeing more. ALEX GAROLI 03-24-2008, 11:11 AM Looking really great! Im big fan of ducatis, so I will follow close this proyect, I guess I cant learn a lot, thats what I like, create a bike that is going to be unique. gionc 03-24-2008, 12:13 PM Well, as a Ducati's fan I'm a huge fan of their tubolar spaceframe so... Ok we'll see finished to say.. Lathafummi 03-24-2008, 12:27 PM Some more. Im some way into the project but rather than bang it all up at once I thought I would post it in stages. Lots of clean up needed and tidying still needs doing http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati021.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati022.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati032a.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati033.jpg And on the bike (using a old scrap motor but in the frame) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati036.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati037.jpg Moved to the fairing as a bit of a change. Start of the mod work for the later 998 style fairing http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati062.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati064.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati067.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati068.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati069.jpg joelwideqvist 03-30-2008, 02:38 AM Great work! Interesting project! What did you do with the rear rimb? Looks like you have moved the spokes out a bit and somehow made it a bit convex...tell me more! /Joel vrossi85 03-30-2008, 04:33 AM Nice work so far! I love your idea and i think its really wonderful to see such a progress here. Everything is looking good but maybe i guess the only thing is that the fairing isnt perfect because of a few bumps as i can see from the pics. Nevertheless, it really looks great! I hope to see more soon! :) Ro Lathafummi 04-03-2008, 10:07 PM Time for a small update. Had ago at dechromeing for the first time Before http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati074.jpg During http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati078.jpg And after. All with Mr Muscle spray cleaner http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati080.jpg Right side fairing http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duc1.jpg Nose cone being turned into a race version http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duc2.jpg Also after looking at the frame and not being happy with it...... Before with the test engine http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duc4.jpg After http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duc3.jpg The rear wheel now in its full glory. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-1.jpg Frame V2.0 I have changed from Crazy modelers CF to some Scalemotorsports Hi-Def CF. I think it looks closer to the full size frame. There is still some detail work that needs doing. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-2.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-7.jpg With the seat unit on http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-9.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-8.jpg And the other fairing panel just to see how it looks. They still needs a polish. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-3.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-6.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-5.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/duke23-4.jpg ALEX GAROLI 04-03-2008, 11:57 PM OOOOOHHHH GOD, THAT IS REALLY AWSOME!! I love the color and how the desmosedici stickers look in the 916 body, the tire is incredible. Lathafummi 04-04-2008, 12:27 PM Great work! Interesting project! What did you do with the rear rimb? Looks like you have moved the spokes out a bit and somehow made it a bit convex...tell me more! /Joel Sorry didnt see the question when I made my last post. I cut the plastic centers on both side back to the midlle with my dremel then put a screw with a amout of bolts and washer on to set the the correct hight the used a heat cut to soften the plastic. (If that makes sense) You should see the spare dry run wheel Lathafummi 11-04-2008, 05:48 PM Disaster…. Then memory card I was using for the WIP and track day died :( gone are my onboard shots from Cadwell and my progress pics. Lesson learnt is DON’T buy cheapish cards from ebay. Anyway lots of work done all updates lost time jump to now. The homebuilt bellypan. I was going to use the same hi-def carbon but thought I would use some different patterns to spice it up and add a little contrast. Its only blu tacked on at the moment. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati141.jpg The same pattern used on heel plates http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati140.jpg Some studio 27 used for the chain guard http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati146.jpg A mix of the two used for the addapted electronics box/dash and the airtubes. Still need to do a caot of black inside the nose cowl yet. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati144.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati143.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati138.jpg Lathafummi 11-04-2008, 05:49 PM The front end Brakes and clear not on yet http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati142.jpg And as she stands at the moment. Im really pleased so far hopefully get some time in to finish it soon http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati145.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/Lathafummi/Model%20Cars/Ducati/Ducati137.jpg ALEX GAROLI 11-04-2008, 11:34 PM It was about time!!!!
