View Full Version : 3.4L D.O.H.C Timing Question 3.4L D.O.H.C Timing Question 92_Lumina_Z34 03-23-2008, 09:02 PM I was wondering if the rear time is out a bit(almost one tooth), if it will cause any problems. Any response to this problem is appreciated thnks in advance Bearwulf 03-23-2008, 11:56 PM Will run rough with valves not timed equally (uneven power between engine banks). Retime from where it is and turn again by hand (three full revolutions), to check timing mark line-up. You may have gotten a little too much slack in belt when installing the first time. wafrederick 03-26-2008, 05:28 PM There are some special tools to set up the timing marks from Kent Moore and they are a must to set the timing marks.
