They are pretty fragile with age, I've had several break on me in the last 10 years (don't drop them while they are hanging to dry...).

In any case, I'm about to repaint some from a project car. :screwy:

In the past, I've spent a few hours hand sanding the spaces between all the vents. Unfortunately, I cannot get into all the corners, and sometimes there are flakes that just can't get removed.

This just isn't working for me. I was wondering what kind of chemical agents I could possibly use to just... spray on and later wipe/pressure wash off?

Of course, these vents aren't metal. Some sort of composite, plastic, or maybe even fiberglass. And, I don't want to soak them in lacquer thinner, only to have a big puddle of napalm left over. :banghead:

I have been successful in removing SOME of the paint, since I did two colors last time, but neglected to sand the first color in the areas I can-sprayed the top/black.

We have both a pressure washer, and an air compressor, but I can't really buy a bunch of sandblasting equipment either, and I don't suppose that is an option with this delicate of a part.

Thanks for any help and suggestions! :smokin:
