Fuel Gaugemdcamaro 03-22-2008, 05:31 PM I bought a fuel gauge at a swap meet. All the parts are in a bag. A ceramic plate with two holes a fiber gasket and to brass wire connectors. I need to know in what order they go on the back of the gauge. Which wire is which. If some one has a photo that would be great. Jim:runaround: highlandlake 03-22-2008, 08:55 PM A bit more info might help us help you Jim. What year Chevelle? What trim level - basic gauge package or deluxe or super sport? Tom 72chevelleOhio 03-23-2008, 05:34 PM If its for the '65, I have black w/pink tracer as being the feed from the ignition switch, and tan as going to the sending unit. Don't know if thats 100%... I've been trying to find a pic... mdcamaro 04-15-2008, 08:22 PM The gauge has three posts. looking from the back you would have east post, west post, and south post. I think the south is ground. West is to the sending unit. East is hot. There is a ceramic block and a fiber block. I need to know in what order I stack the blocks and the wire connectors. Rodie40 04-30-2008, 10:47 AM On my 66, it goes, fiber (Brown thing) first then contacts which wrap around the ceramic plate. If that helps? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
