Hello Everybody,
I have an old policarbonate helmet that I'd like to paint...
I have a lot of questions that I could not find an answer to.

1 Do I have to use waterbased paints?
2 Is there a waterbased primer/filler?
3 Can I use solvent based acrilic paints? Once the solvent evaporate there's no trace of solvent in them, right? :screwy:
4 Do I have to use waterbased transparent or can I use any transparent since the Policarbonate is sealed once painted?

Some told me not to paint PC helmet to avoid the risk of weaken it but PC helmet on sale are painted so there it'll be a way to paint it! :smokin:

Thanks in advance to anybody will help!

Cheers,

Marco

Marco>Sorry it took so long to get back to you but I've been busy hitting cats on the block with the gat. Ideally you would want to use a waterborne primer as a barrier coat over the helmet and then use a solvent borne paint and clear system over the top. Using a lockdown clear in between any layers of graphics would be a good idea as well.

Blast a mother###### til you're peeking through his back.:nono:
