mine is in the mail. This is my favorite car ever! Im going to build one stock and then build another using a 599 kit for engine suspension and try to use some of the body to make a conversion. yay! keep us updated

Well well well! Someone has finally bought this kit and build it. Will be very interesting and will keep an eye out for more progress work.

After all the discussions on the board it will be intersting to see this one being build. Mine is in the mail with the PE-wheels. I watch yours and copy all the innovations you will put into this one...the downside of being first. Good luck with this one.

Looks great Jelly. What color will you be using on the rims? I noticed in many pictures they look painted silver and not chrome.

From what i understand Hasegawa didnt base it on any particular chasis Its not based on #0714

This site below states that chasis 0714 was sold to Drogo who immediately had rear brake vents installed. you can see this is in the pic above kinda.

Anyways im still trying to decide if the model is truly based on any chasis which it is. Im going nuts with all the details between chassis #'s. Im thinking that i try to add those vents to make chasis 0714 if i can confirm there were no other real changes made!

I think you should put the wires in that "loom"? / guide some are red some are black? im going to replicate 0714 and im not sure what color those guides are yet, then paint the oil breather caps chrome. anyways work is looking very clean and mine should be here anyday! Im also going to run the hoses from the oil breathers but i dont know where they go exactly yet either. anyways thats my :2cents:

The white "firm" on the seat is called "piping" I think. you can use 30gauge wrapping wire for this or stretched sprue (if, unlike me, you can actually stretch sprue :lol:)

So I find out that i will for sure have my 250 tr on friday and i go to order all my paints and supplies needed for this build on hiroboy.org and hes closed his site for a modeling convention in the uk! dam mit! ah well patience is a virute for those who care to be virtuos. new 250 tr wip coming soon chassis 0714

Well i just got my kit today! Couple interesting things. They have included parts to make several different chassis #'s as far as the exterior is concerned. The car comes with external or internal door hinges. The rear brake vents i was worried about custom making are included in the kit and there are some other odd bits that appear on some 250's but not the one i was planning to use as a main reference? I had one question though from every pic of the real engine ive seen the oil breather tubes are run under the headers and out to the front of the engine bay by the radiator? These are run up through the headers. Probably accurate but it might point towards a specific chasis #. Ill post pics as soon as i have some meaningful progress as jelly has given you all the kits shots.
