Thats a good way to go about buying another IAC valve. Use nylon scratch pad with diesel & thinner mix to clean. Only apply to cone of valve as any cleaner getting into solenoid area will cause decomp and freeze pintle in one position, causing worse problems. If you check the manual it will tell you this also. savannaz34 03-17-2008, 10:05 AM What yr. & engine? Thats a good way to go about buying another IAC valve. If the reading is correct the oil pump could be worn out or the screen is blocked... If you run 5W30 and the engine has plenty of miles you might wanna move up to 10W30 also... DnaProRacing 03-23-2008, 03:16 PM This may not be the right answer for you, but, I had problems with mine stalling at redlights and would idle eratically. What I did was drain a pint of tranny fluid out and put a pint of seafoam trans tune in. this will lubricate the tcc enough where it wont stick. also, I changed my trottle positioning sensor and Idle air control. $40 each. after running around a few days with the trans tune in, I flushed the tranny. Havent had the stalling or idle issues since. make sure you triple check the amount of tranny fluid you/they put in. running too much will make the car surge and lose power. if this doesnt cure the prob, definately check to see if you cat is backed up. one step at a time, you'll get there.
