Does anybody know the normal operating temperature range for an E250 with the 5.0 302 in it?

The reason I ask is because my van the other day in heavy traffic was getting to temperatures of 210 and luckily I got to some higher speeds to get some cool air through the radiator. Most of the cooling components are new, water pump, fan clutch, and radiator. The only things I haven't changed are the thermostat and some random hoses, like the two coming out of the water pump. I also noticed me alternator was wet when I got home.
